The event is jointly organised by the European Institute of Planted Forests (IEFC), IUFRO, and the European Forest Institute (EFI).
This edition of the webinar focuses on the health and biotic risks of Douglas-fir in Europe, a species whose planted area continues to expand, particularly in France and Germany. The session will address emerging health issues, pest pressures, and management considerations for this important non-native tree species.
Aditya will present his research on “Predictive mapping of damage by major co-evolved insect pests of Douglas-fir.” His work investigates factors driving pest impacts in both native and introduced ranges and provides insights relevant for forest managers and researchers working with non-native conifers in Europe.
The full programme and registration are available on the webinar website.
