The event offered a great opportunity to connect with colleagues from across Europe. One of FISC’s leading experts, Prof. Tomáš Hlásny, contributed his perspective on current challenges and risks faced by forests, while the conference also provided space for young talents from our centre. Aditya Ganesh, a PhD student at FISC, briefly presented his research on the global biogeography of Douglas-fir and its associated insect herbivores. His work aims to identify the environmental conditions linked to Douglas-fir invasiveness worldwide and to compare insect richness and folivory across regions.
We are proud to have been part of such a vibrant scientific exchange and look forward to future collaborations within the EFI network!
